Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 September 2026
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Adrologic Private Limited ("Presence", "we", "us") governing your use of the Presence app. By creating an account or using Presence you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Presence.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. Presence is an adults-only service. You confirm your age at sign-up; providing a false age is a breach of these Terms.
2. The service
Presence lets you discover people, places and moments near you, chat when both people opt in, and create and share digital cards — while keeping your precise location private. Features may change, improve, or be withdrawn over time.
3. Your account
- Sign-in is by your mobile number and a one-time password. Keep access to your number and device secure; you're responsible for activity on your account.
- Provide accurate information and keep it current.
- One account per person; don't impersonate anyone or misrepresent who you are.
4. Community rules & acceptable use
Presence is a safety-first, women-first community. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, or incite violence against anyone;
- post or share content that is hateful, sexually explicit, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable, or that sexualises or endangers minors;
- share content that is illegal, infringes others' rights, or is fraudulent, spammy, or deceptive;
- impersonate others, create fake profiles, or misrepresent affiliation;
- attempt to de-anonymise, track, or determine the precise location of another user;
- scrape, harvest, reverse-engineer, overload, or interfere with the service or its security;
- use Presence for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and we cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and transmit that content solely to operate and provide the service to you and the people you share it with. You're responsible for the content you post and confirm you have the rights to share it.
6. Safety tools & moderation
Presence provides blocking, reporting, in-app content controls, and a way to contact us (Settings → Help & support). We review reports and may remove content or restrict, suspend, or ban users who breach these Terms. Blocking someone removes you from each other everywhere on Presence. Because your safety is the foundation of the product, these tools sit one tap away wherever they're needed.
If we get it wrong, you can say so. Any suspended or banned account may ask us to review the decision at /appeal — you confirm the mobile number on the account and tell us what happened. A person reads every appeal; it is not automated. If we made a mistake, we restore your account. You can have one appeal open at a time, and may appeal again 14 days after a refusal.
7. Privacy
Your use of Presence is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your data — including how we keep your exact location private.
7a. Spaces (colleges, workplaces, businesses)
A Space is a community tied to a real institution. Joining one is always your choice, and you can leave at any time.
- How you get in. By an invite code, by an email domain the institution has registered, by appearing on a roster the institution supplied, or by a student/staff ID you submit for review. Any ID image you send for that review is deleted once the decision is made, whether you are approved or not.
- Being in a Space does not expose you. Appearing in a Space directory is opt-in per member and off unless you turn it on. Checking into a zone is always an action you take, is visible only to the audience you pick, and expires by itself.
- Institutions do not get your data. A Space gives an institution a community, not a reporting tool. We do not hand over member lists, location, attendance, check-ins or messages to an institution, and there is no admin view that would let us.
- Ambassadors are members trusted to invite others within a set limit. They act for themselves, not for us, and cannot see anything a normal member cannot.
- We may remove a Space, or your membership of one, if it is used to harass people or misrepresent an institution.
8. Fees
The core of Presence — proximity discovery, chat, your profile and cards — is free, and we intend it to stay that way.
We do not currently charge anyone. No payment method is collected anywhere in the app. Some accounts may hold Presence Premium because we granted it (a pilot, a promotion, or a support fix); a granted plan costs nothing and expires on the date shown.
If we do introduce paid plans, we will show the price, the billing period and the cancellation terms before you pay, and we will not charge you without your clear consent. Prices shown in the app include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Promotional codes grant a plan for a fixed period. They carry no cash value, cannot be exchanged or transferred, may be limited in number or time, and may be withdrawn if a code is shared beyond its intended audience or used abusively. One code per person.
8a. Promotions (Spotlights)
A Spotlight is a paid placement bought by a verified venue to appear in clearly labeled slots — one "Promoted" place above the organic list on the radar, up to two in World, and the Offers screen. The rules:
- Always labeled. Every Spotlight is marked "Promoted", and a "Why this?" note explains it in one tap. A promotion never appears as a person, a radar coin, or a notification.
- It targets a place, never you. A Spotlight is matched to an area (a radius around the venue, or the city or country in your World listing) — not to your age, gender, interests, messages, or behaviour. Presence shares nothing about you with the business. It sees only how many people saw its Spotlight on a given day.
- Paid never outranks unpaid. Organic results keep their order; a Spotlight gets its own labeled slot beside them.
- Reviewed before it runs. Our team reads every Spotlight before it is shown and refuses categories we do not promote (including weapons, tobacco, alcohol, gambling, adult content, political messaging, loans and crypto). You can report any Spotlight, and a Spotlight from someone you have blocked is never shown to you.
- For venue owners: you must own a verified venue; you are responsible for your creative being lawful and accurate; we may refuse, pause, or end a Spotlight that breaks these Terms, and a paid placement is not a promise of any result. Prices are shown before you submit; in this phase payment is arranged with our team and confirmed in writing before a Spotlight goes live.
8b. Presence Points (only when enabled)
Presence Points are a promotional rewards program we may switch on in some places and for some periods. Nothing below applies until you see a points wallet in your app; when it is enabled, these rules apply.
- Earned, never bought. You earn points by genuinely viewing labeled Spotlights (once per Spotlight, with a daily cap). You can never buy points, and nobody may sell them to you. Points come out of a pool funded by the venue that bought the Spotlight — we never issue more value than a venue paid for.
- No cash value. Points have no cash value to you, cannot be transferred, sold, or withdrawn, and cannot be converted to money. Their only use is as a discount on a bill at a venue that has chosen to accept them, up to the share of the bill that venue allows (never more than half).
- They expire. Unused points expire after the period shown in your wallet (currently 365 days), oldest first. We may change the earn rate, caps, expiry and eligible venues, and may pause or end the program, with notice in the app; no compensation is owed for unused points.
- How a redemption works. You choose a venue and a bill amount, the app shows how many points you can use, and it mints a short-lived, single-use code. The venue confirms the code; your points are deducted and the venue records the discount. Both sides get a receipt. A code you do not use simply expires.
- Fair use. Points earned by automation, fake impressions, or collusion with a venue may be reversed and the account frozen. A venue's owner cannot redeem at their own venue.
- For venue owners. Accepting points is optional and set by you, including the share of a bill points may cover. When you honour a discount, we credit your venue balance with its value minus our platform fee (shown in your venue settings) — this is settlement of an invoice for a discount you honoured on our behalf, not a deposit or a wallet. Paying that balance out to you is subject to identity and bank verification, a merchant agreement, applicable taxes (including GST invoicing and any TDS), and review of unusual patterns.
9. Termination
You may stop using Presence and delete your account at any time (Settings → Delete account, or our web deletion page). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or to protect the service or its users. Some provisions (e.g. §5 licence for content already shared, §10–12) survive termination as needed.
10. Disclaimers
Presence is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that you will make any particular connection. You are responsible for your interactions with other people. Meet others safely; we do not conduct background checks on users.
11. Limitation of liability
This section limits what you can recover from us — except where the law does not allow such limits, so the protected part comes first.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or willful misconduct; gross negligence; or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Indian law. Nothing in these Terms takes away rights the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other applicable law gives you that cannot be waived by agreement.
Subject to the above:
- Adrologic Private Limited will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, goodwill, or data, arising from your use of Presence.
- Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to Presence in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Presence in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ₹5,000.
- We are not liable for the conduct of other users, online or offline — §10 explains that interactions between people are their own.
If any part of this section is held unenforceable, the rest of it, and the rest of these Terms, continue to apply, and the unenforceable part applies to the fullest extent the law allows.
12. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, the courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan have jurisdiction over any dispute, and you and we agree to first attempt to resolve disputes amicably by contacting contact@adrologic.com. If you use Presence as a consumer, nothing in this section prevents you from taking a dispute to the consumer commissions established under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or to any other forum the law says cannot be taken away from you.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms as Presence evolves. We'll post the updated version with a new date and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Presence after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
